The Best!
Timber Creek Dog ParkI rave about this park everywhere I go. My roommate and I used to take our bully here all the time! I see people commenting about dogs being off-leash by the lake...sorry to say that it is a dog park and if you’re concerned perhaps you shouldn’t come. I love the idea that the “off-leash” area is all fenced in. It’s a great training opportunity in my opinion! We kept a long lead on our pup and worked on recall with distractions! This definitely is not the place to go if you’re worried about dogs running around, though. The only “negative” is that indeed the lake is not clearly marked. I feel that’s not enough to knock off a bone, though! Most people are extremely kind and understanding and most of the dogs are fantastic! Definitely recommend.

Not So Dog Beach?
Beach Haven Doggy BayI’m confused about people saying you can’t bring your dogs here...? I brought my pup here all summer long and had no problems? Maybe things have changed, I don’t know. GREAT park, though! This was the first park I took my dog to as a pup and she loves it. She can tend to get overwhelmed to being able to take her in the water for a break then back on land was great! Four out of five because it’s not fenced in which is concerning, but any good dog owner should be watching their dog anyway. Yet, my dog runs a million miles an hour so anything can happen! I’ve only had one negative experience of someone bringing their aggressive dog, but they were relatively on top of it! Definitely recommend...if it’s still a dog beach?

Don’t Bring Happy Dogs
Waretown Dog ParkA very large elderly community goes to this park. Due to this, your dog better be extremely well behaved and willing to stay ten feet away. My dog is a jumper (I took full responsibility for this poor behavior, believe me), which some understand comes with the territory of being at, well, a dog park. Often times they bring bagels and other treats and are surprised when the dogs are surrounding them. I shouldn’t be afraid that my dog is being too dog-like AT A DOG PARK. Many owners also pay no mind to their dogs. Sometimes our dogs get too excited and I seem to be the only one trying to encourage them all to move. I guess this is just a day care? Save yourself the trouble.
