Monacos are always fabulous.....
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia an IHG Hotel... if sometimes a little frayed around the edges. But, for the price, A-OK!!
I love this hotel!
The Charles Hotel in Harvard SquareYes, it’s expensive, but dogs and people are treated well.
A GREAT place for people and dogs
Seaview, a Dolce HotelA lovely resort, especially if you golf, which we don't, but still great. Nice pool. Lots of room for the dogs to walk. Country club (bland) food, but fine. Just really comfortable. Easy into AC. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend
Graduate ProvidenceFabulous, big room. The dogs were happy. The staff was perfectly nice. Parking is convenient. Nothing not to love.
Well, you get what you pay for, and....
Comfort Inn & Suites Cambridge... beggars can't be choosers looking for a reasonably priced place on the Eastern Shore in late June at the last minute. But I wouldn't choose this place under any other circumstances. Pros: decent mattress, clean bathroom, very nice people at check-in, easy parking, a fridge and microwave. Cons: two room temperatures - hot and freezing, a truly awful fitness room (disassembled equipment, overflowing garbage, etc.), rugs that need a serious shampooing, the most worthless complimentary breakfast ever, and just a weird stinkyness everywhere.
Fabulous hotel
Hotel Bardo SavannahBoth the humans and the dogs were treated superbly. Lovely property, nice people, great location, excellent value, best hotel gym in a long time, lots of dog treats..... what’s not to love?
Nice, old-fashioned hotel
The Biltmore Greensboro HotelPerfectly nice to our dogs, comfy beds. Not great if you have a lot of luggage: 4 steps up, no bell person, small elevator with hand-controlled doors. Other than that, terrific choice.
Lovely place, lots of nice doggies
Spruce Point InnOne of the nicest places we’ve stayed. COVID inhibits hospitality everywhere, but these guys handle it pretty well, and the facilities make up for any small annoyances.
Pros and cons
Gallagher's Travels Bar Harbor Motel & CabinsOn the plus side, EXCEPTIONALLY clean and very, very nice people running this hotel. Doggies are loved and appreciated. On the minus side, no desk, no chair, no hairdryer, tiny shower, fridge freezes everything, and very musty smell that doesn't go away.
Nice building, but
Garrison Inn Boutique HotelWe arrived at 10 PM. No one on duty. A key was left for us, but no one to help with bags upstairs, which would be fine, but for the cost of the room, which certainly suggested the existence of bell-people. And then the pullout couch wasn't made up although the hotel knew we would be 3. In general, this vacation is suggesting a great lack of creativity in the hospitality industry: while COVID is certainly challenging, every place's response is idiosyncratic and mostly consists of saying "no" instead of thinking up alternatives. In this hotel: no ice. What's wrong with bagged ice? Also rugs in the elevator (a bad idea) were filthy.
Really nice to our dog.....
Hotel Viking.... but poor value. Yes, I know it’s a resort town in summertime after a tough start due to COVID, but $530 for a small king room, plus $100 for our dog, plus a (reduced but still) resort fee when the spa and pool were closed and there were no glasses in the room, seems high.
