Nice for the price

The motel room was clean and everything was in working order. It was a good location near the interstate and shopping, in what seemed like a safe neighborhood. The reception person was friendly and the place seemed dog friendly. The room was on the small side (two double beds). There was a grassy area behind the motel to walk the dogs, unfortunately many dog owners had not picked up after their dogs.

A grand hotel that is very pet friendly

It is impossible not to fall in love with this hotel. It is one of Seattle's grand old hotels with beautiful interior and a friendly staff. It is very dog friendly. It looks like a hotel that a bichon frise would feel at home, but our rural shelter mutts also felt welcomed. The room was just beautiful, the mattress comfortable and the pillow so very soft. The nearby streets are quiet and a good place to walk the dogs, and there a lots of other dogs in the neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again!

Not some comfortable Comfort Suites

This Comfort Suites seemed outdated and shabby. The room was clean, but the carpeting was unraveling at the edges in several places. There were dents and scratches on several walls, and the towel bar was badly dented. Many of the room doors down the hallway were damaged as if someone had attempted to kick them in. Parts of the parking lot was covered in thick ice, including the handicap parking spots with no evidence of salt being applied - which our two dogs were happy about.

Ask for a room on the pool side. Our room on the front side was flooded by a powerful spot light making it possible to read a book without turning the light on in the room. We had to use paper binder clips to hold the curtains closed.

There was a nice grassy area to walk the dog next to the student housing parking lot.

Good location, high pet fee

The motel was located 1 block from I-15 exit, so easy to access without being right on the interstate. The room was large and clean. There was a grassy area to walk the dogs. Our only complaint is that a room two doors down from ours was being renovated, which created noisy until 8pm. Also the pet fee is quite steep when bringing two dogs.

Great location

The motel room was clean and roomy. It was very dog friendly. Located next to the river front, it made for some great dog walks. Our only complaint is that the wifi wasn't working, and it took almost 24 hours before it was fixed.

Clean rooms, terrible view

This motel seemed a bit overpriced. We appreciated the room was clean and it had hardwood flooring instead of carpeting, especially given the carpeting in the hallway and stairway was rather worn. We were given a room on the 2nd floor and it was a bit of a hassle getting the pup in and out (we had assumed that we would be placed on the 1st floor, but had not requested it). The view from our room was of a dumpster and piles of trash such as old broken toilets. As others observed, the so-called grassy area was nasty with lots of trash and piles of dog poop. The owner was very nice, but mask compliance was clearly not his thing even though it was mandated by the state of Oregon at the time we stayed there.

Very dog friendly

This hotel WELCOMES dogs. The manager has a collage of dog guest photos behind the check in counter. The dog area is nicely kept, clean with green grass, complimentary poop bags. Our room was huge and clean, but unfortunately next to the staircase which was rather noisy. Would definitely stay again.

Dog friendly

The motel is pet friendly, our room was clean (though with a strong smell of cleaners), and the windows open. The breakfast was good. The place has nice courtyard with a swimming pool (dogs are not allowed in the courtyard). Our room was on the first floor down a long hallway, and we wish we had been located closer to the entrance door, as we have a senior dog.

Our favorite motel

We traveled across country and the Best Western in Van Buren was our favorite dog friendly motel. It is clean, parking right in front of our room, open field to walk the dogs, and delicious breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

Retro cool, dog friendly motel

Entering Santa Rosa is like traveling 60 years back in time. You will experience the real Rt 66 at the retro cool motel Route 66. Motel Route 66 is very dog friendly, the owners are super nice, and they are located only 1.5 block from the Blue Hole - a most-see natural wonder in New Mexico.
