Great place!
Best Western Plus Steeplegate InnWe stayed in a 2 queen bed room for the night on our way back home from a cross country vacation, and it couldn’t have been nicer! The room was quite large and had plenty of space for the four humans and two dogs, one of which is a Wolfhound. Clean and well maintained with a very nice bathroom. Indoor pool for the kids, and the restaurant on property was nice so we didn’t have to drive anywhere for dinner after coming across Nebraska and Iowa. Plenty of green space outdoors for the dogs to exercise, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Would definitely stay again.

OK, but needs updating
Ramada Tropics Resort & Conf Center by Wyndham Des MoinesWe stayed here for one night on our way from Ohio to Colorado. Pleasantly surprised by the indoor water park/pool, which my kids loved, and the $10 pet fee was extremely reasonable. They also didn’t bat an eye at our dogs, one of which is a Wolfhound. Plenty of green space outside for walks, but it is close to the highway. However, the beds were lumpy and definitely needed new mattresses, and the entire room seemed a bit run down. Still, it was okay for one night.

Excellent place to stay!
Best Western SundownerWonderful all around! Room was decent sized with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Two doors in our ground floor room provided easy outside access to spacious grassy areas on the hotel property as well as to the next door Overland Heritage picnic area (where dogs were welcomed evidenced by the presence of dog waste bag dispensers and trash cans). Outdoor pool was right outside our patio and was clean and well maintained. Would stay again in a heartbeat and for longer than just overnight if necessary. Highly recommended :)
