Amazing Hotel, but...
Kimpton Everly Hotel Hollywood an IHG HotelThe hotel itself was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was prepared well, even had dog beds and bowls for our pets! The hotel also had a gym, pool and offered to let us borrow anything we might have forgotten. Our only issue wasn’t with the hotel itself, but it’s surrounding area. The area around the hotel was filled with homeless people camping and loitering. We walked to pick up dinner at Shake Shack that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel and saw a high homeless man crawl over a fence screaming and then smash a parked car with an electric scooter. Then on the way back two men doing a drug deal followed us back to the hotel. The hotel did have gated garage parking and key access for the elevator, which made us feel safe. Just the area around isn’t safe at night.

Not worth it
La Quinta by Wyndham Albuquerque WestWe arrived to the hotel after 13 hours of driving on a trip only for the front desk to say they couldn’t find out reservations even with the confirmation code we provided. 20 minutes later they finally found it. Additionally, this hotel is not in a good/safe area of town. Next door to the parking lot is an empty lot of homeless people camping in tents. There was even a grown man wandering around in his boxers. We had to go buy locks to lock up the rack on top of the car because we worried about people breaking in at night since they were loitering. Breakfast was also very minimal. Bread slices and old waffles. The room was clean at least, but I don’t recommend staying here. It’s worth spending more money elsewhere to be in a better location.
