Convenient and quiet location
Morro Shores Inn and SuitesJust off the highway 1 and less than 10 mins walk to the beach. The room was clean and very quiet in the night. The cleaning and reception service staffs were all kind and good quality for the price. There was only one set of washing machine and dryer to share, so if you want to use, you may need to wait for it.

Good location for Shasta area explorer.
Shasta InnJust off the I-5 and two nice coffee shops within walking distance. Needless to say the convenient access to Mt Shasta. For dinners, easy and walking distance to world cuisines (Chinese, Mexican, American, Thai, Italian) and a liquor shop. Cozy doggy break place in the property. High noise penetration from the next-door rooms were a minus. TV and talking voice can be a trouble if you have a loud neighbor who doesn’t sleep till late. Other than that, very tidy and cozy room and I found a young woman at the reception very friendly and professional. Want to come back again for a weekend trip!

3.8: Good hotel with a dog
The Lodge at Blue LakesWood floor and tile bathroom floor. The room was very cold when we stayed (Nov). The AC worked well but it produced a large noise so we could not turn it on when we slept. Breakfast was included and delivered at the door. No bath tub, no sofa. If you want to have a walk around with a dog, it might better to stay on the clear lake as the blue lake had no walking trail around the lake but only for pleasure boat docks.

3.5: Good location for drive-and-hike.
Oceanfront LodgeTile bathroom floor and wood room floor are easy to clean. Medium noise conductance. We were allocated in a room without balcony so only had a very small window which cannot fully open. Very good restaurant in the hotel. The beach in front was not very clean but drive 5 minutes take to the beautiful crescent beach.

Great value and comfort
The Beach House InnFloor: Carpeted (room), vinyl (bathroom). Room: Not too small with a patio. Other: Good quality soaps, shampoos and moisturize cream. Contact-less check-out and no daily cleaning due to COVID. Pet package: Pet sheet, biscuits, poo bags and pet policy. Walking distance to the small calm and beautiful beach near the beachcombers hotel (have to cross the CA-1). Upstairs noise was easy to be heard. Quiet AC system. Room carpet had several stains, probably pet stains. For me, it was good because I was able to relax not being too nervous to keep super clean during the stay. Friendly and polite office staffs. Good value for the room and location. Want to come back again.

Great location, Large and Clean room
Candlewood Suites Winnemucca an IHG HotelWe stayed one night on our way back to SF after picking up a puppy in SLC. It was the first night with us for the puppy but he seemed very relaxed and slept well on the floor (we brought a bed). They let us to choose a room between 3rd and 1st floor (we got the 1st floor room) and there were 3 dogs we saw in the hotel. The room was very clean without any smell and had a small kitchen which was convenient for us to clean the water bowl. Very quiet in the night and great location just off I-80. Thank you!
