Our 5th stay!!

We've made the drive to-and-from California and Louisiana twice already with our dog and two cats, so when it came time to MOVE to Louisiana with our pets, we knew where to stop for our first over-nighter. This hotel is clean, comfortable, and has an excellent, friendly staff. Our animals are always welcomed here (for a small fee), and it's close to some of our favorite eateries (Mr D'z Route 66 Diner for dinner, and grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee from the Human Bean on your way out).

excellent late-night front desk host

My wife, dog, two cats, and I arrived after midnight to this hotel. The front desk host - I wish I remembered her name - was wonderful; friendly and extremely helpful. A very nice treat after a late night on the road.

Word-to-the-wise if you're traveling with cats: before you let them out of their crates, check your hotel room for possible hiding spots and block them. Our cats found a pretty large hole in the bottom fabric of the box spring and hid inside the box spring as we were packing in the morning to leave. My wife and I had quite a "fun" time trying to get them out. I am very appreciative of hotels that allow cats, but I wish they all had platform beds on solid boxes that cats cannot get under, in, or behind.

clean, friendly, great location!

This hotel is located on a hill right off of the freeway. Friendly, helpful service. Front desk recommended Joseph's Bar & Grill for authentic New Mexican food; excellent recommendation! And my pets were happy with their home-away-from-home.

Friendly, clean, accommodating

We had an excellent stay in the Ayres Hotel. We were able to bring our dog and two cats, and checked out late (3pm) as we worked remotely from our hotel room. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and very respectful of social distancing and COVID-19 precautions.

Last-minute reservation, excellent location!!

Was helping my cousin and his family and three cats move from California to Colorado. The hotel my cousin booked ended up not accepting felines. Within minutes, I had a room reserved for that night, immediate check-in, and I took the cats with me. Room was very, very nice, as was the entire hotel! Check out the rock climbing on the outside of the building! Amazing hotel.
