Fine option close to the park
Grand Canyon Plaza HotelLarge motel that’s nothing special and a little worn down for the price. But closest you can stay to the Grand Canyon without being in the park. It worked for what we needed.

Solid option if you need a pit stop
La Quinta by Wyndham Las Vegas Airport SouthJust overnight to stop before continuing on a long drive. Clean hotel. Easy to get too. No frills. Lots of dogs. Dog owners didn’t clean up outside.
