It was okay
Motel 6 Frederick MD - Fort DetrickNot very clean in some places but the bed and bathroom were acceptable. Whatever they cleaned the floor with left a weird film and my dog kept slipping on it. Bare bones no coffee pot, microwave, or refrigerator. The plus side was the big courtyard so there was lots of green space for the dogs to hang out in. Pool was closed. Our spot was on the opposite side of the parking lot too so we couldn’t see our vehicle which made me a bit nervous because we had a bike rack on there. It was fine for just overnight or passing through but I probably wouldn’t stay more than one night.

Good Price, A Bit Dingy
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Norfolk Virginia Beachnot bad for what we paid. We have 2 medium dogs both able to stay for no extra charge. the linens and bedding were all very clean but there were some stains on the walls and carpets. Currently no breakfast or pool because of COVID. There was a lot of trash on the property and the “pet area” was tiny and filled with litter and poop. Lots of people hanging out in their cars in the parking lot at night. I never really felt “unsafe” as others described though. The other patrons were actually very quiet. no barking dogs, yelling, etc. Surrounded by construction (I realize this isn’t the hotels fault) but it did wake us up at around 7 one morning. I’d say all in all good value place to stay for a night or two but probably wouldn’t recommend an extended stay. There was an AMAZING authentic Mexican restaurant right next door.
