Malfunctioning fire alarm
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sioux FallsAfter the fire alarm went off, terrorizing our dog, we learned from the desk manager that "Oh, that was nothing. It happens anytime it gets hot and then the sensor goes off in the attic." The temperatures were already falling into the low 80s by then; it was never hotter than 88 degrees, yet the alarm sounded, we had to leave the building, and the fire department showed up to do an inspection. My dog and I were outside for about 20-30 minutes waiting for the all-clear only to find out that this happens with some predictability. This was after I reported that the electricity in our room wasn't functioning properly, then later discovered that the sink stopper wasn't functioning properly, and then that the toilet was running. All things considered, we would never take our dog back there because of the fire alarm situation.
Great room & breakfast
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo an IHG HotelThe room was very comfortable and the breakfast was the nicest we've had on this BringFido road trip. They even had Cinnabons. We had the BEST ribeye dinner at Cattleman's across the street. We ordered it take out and ate in our room with our dog. The only thing that was less than ideal and is the reason for our 4-bone rating is that the area for walking our dog was minimal. Also, somehow the desk clerk had no idea we had a dog with us. I had to pull up my confirmed reservation.
5 Bones for Dogs
MainStay Suites Fitchburg MadisonOur large room had both clean carpeting and tile in the kitchen and bath areas. There is a lot of dog-friendly property for walking including a public park. There were no odors whatsoever in the hotel or our room. We would definitely take our dog back there.
Awesome lodging
Staybridge Suites Madison - Fitchburg an IHG HotelWe had a beautiful, quiet, comfortable room with all the amenities. Our dog was equally happy and comfortable. We've stayed here before and will stay there again. Thank you!
Excellent location
La Quinta by Wyndham KearneyI make it a point to stay at places with a 5-bone rating ever since having a very unpleasant experience at one with a 4-bone rating. This LaQuinta has a well-deserved high rating. The whole property is super clean and quiet. In addition, there are several wonderful food options within easy walking distance. The hotel clerk even gave us a 10% discount coupon for the Angus Burger restaurant which had excellent food. There were still some Covid restrictions in place, but that didn't spoil our experience at all. We will stay there again.
Great location, very reasonably priced!
Element Omaha Midtown CrossingWe love this hotel and stop here with our dog a couple of times a year. The room is fantastic - large , comfortable, full of amenities. The staff is excellent - attentive and aiming to please.
July with Marla
Sky Rock SedonaWe traveled with our dog and chose this BW because of the good reviews on BringFido. I wish we had known it was under construction - the pool and hot tub were not available and there wasn't any grassy area for dog walking- we ended up spending our 2nd night elsewhere. The personnel were professional and friendly and breakfast was very good.
Great location
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham KearneyThis is our 2nd time at this Microtel. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would go back.
Late night last minute res
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Shamrock North an IHG HotelWe stayed here because there were no 5-bone pet friendly rooms available in Amarillo. Because of a bad experience last year in a 4-bone rated hotel, we have decided that we'll only stay in hotels with a 5-bone rating. No way this place gets a 5 even though that's what we saw on the website when making the reservation. Although the room was clean, it was a bit shabby with torn curtains. There is no bar/lounge to get a drink or food. The TV remote wasn't working and it took about a half hour to get that fixed. The door by the parking lot adjacent to the dog friendly rooms did not have a working card reader and there were dead beetles inside that vestibule. The ice makers weren't working and the elevator floor was dirty. The best part was a very decent breakfast buffet. All things considered, we would not stay here again.
July in Sedona
Sky Ranch LodgeThis place is beautiful and we would stay there again. There are plenty of places to walk your dog. The airport restaurant is across the street with excellent food and service. The views are spectacular. The only criticism is that such a pricey place does not serve breakfast
