Great for us dog owners
Extended Stay America Suites San Francisco San CarlosKitchen has a full-sized fridge and you can request complementary dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker and toaster. Unlike many pet-approved hotels, this one allows you to leave your pet in the room while you are out, as long as you put up the special sign on the door (we didn't do this but it is good to have the option, if necessary.) Across the busy road, there's a cute neighborhood for walking your dog (and there's a small pet area on the hotel grounds, too). San Carlos has a nice downtown with lots of cafes and restaurants in outdoor parklets where your dog is also usually welcome. City Hall Park has a dog park (closed daily from 9:30-10:30 AM for cleaning).
Great location, Covid-care is visible
The Beach House InnRight on the coast, a few blocks from downtown, clean and spacious room with a pet-kit given on arrival.
Good value, good cleanliness
Best Western Petaluma InnThe pet-friendly rooms seem to be in the building closest to the freeway, so there was some road noise. Otherwise it was a good stay.
