Very nice resort
Capt Hirams ResortNice family resort right on the water. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was updated but it did take several minutes for the hot water to heat up. It would have been nice if they allowed dogs in the outdoor bar area but overall it was a very nice place to stay and I would happily stay there again.

Dated but clean
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charleston DWTN - Westedge an IHG HotelRoom was very clean, staff was friendly and there was a nice area for dogs behind the hotel. Cons: AC was really loud in the room and the water pressure was very weak.

Not great
Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke RapidsThe hotel was old and dated. Hallways were dirty and needed vacuming. The carpet in the room had several mystery stains. Checking was fine and lobby was OK.
