Disappointed

Salt Meadow Park Dog Park

I am the administrator of a dog park in Fairfield County; i know what is important for a successful park and what isn't. While the Madison park is large and inviting to humans, it lacks items which are necessary for dogs. There is no water at the park, and there is no shade; dogs need both. For the money spent on fancy fencing (dogs don't care about wooden fences) on this dog park, the founders would have been better off building a shelter area and connected to a town water source. The area is very large but there is no separate area for small/timid dogs. And dangerous both to dogs and himans, the grassy areas contain a great deal of poison ivy which will necessitate digging it up, or spraying. I hope that the town will consider these needs as the park matures.

Terrific fun and safe park

Bailey's Dog Park

A group of us bring our pups almost every day; we're frequent fliers. The dogs are terrific and their humans watch them very closely. Part of the park its sand, the remainder is wood chips. No separation between large and small dogs but they all get along beautifully. Lots of toys, a water spigot and a small kiddy pool for those who insist on swimming in the drinking bowls. Park is clean, there's plenty of seating for humans to rest and poop bags are available. Come join us; meet new friends, canine and human. We're love it!
