Great food in a nice location!

The wife and I ate here a few times (Yes, it's that good!) while visiting family in Florida during the Christmas holidays. Nice local seafood spot with great daily seafood specials. The Calamari is excellent. I tried the fresh fish special of the day, which was swordfish, and it was excellent and cooked perfectly! The wife got the fish tacos and the Caesar salad with shrimp on top. On another visit I got the broiled seafood platter with Mahi Mahi/shrimp/scallops/hush puppies/etc. and it was all excellent! Service is excellent, the food comes quickly, and it doesn't cost a fortune to eat here. That's why I just keep coming back to AMOB. They have a few other locations around the area, and they are all excellent too!

Excellent restaurant, excellent food, and in a beautiful location!!!

We went here while visiting family in Florida during the Christmas holidays. Hands down thee place to go eat while in the Saint Armand's/Longboat Key/Lido Beach area! Hostess quickly seated us outside along the sidewalk patio tables under umbrellas on a nice sunny day. Plenty of room for the dogs to lay next to our chairs. The menu had all the classic Cuban entrees that you could want. So many choices that I had a hard time trying to decide what to order for lunch. We ended up getting the fried Calamari and the Empanadas De Picadillo for appetizers, and the wife got a salad and I ordered the Ropa Vieja lunch plate. All the food was flavorful and excellent! Cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Will definitely come back here again and again!!! There is a small gift shop inside the restaurant where you can buy some small unique gift items, knick knacks, and even some Columbia brand hot sauce.

Decent hotel in Junction, TX.

We stayed here on Dec. 31st-Jan. 1st when we got caught in the sudden winter snowstorm that swept through this part of Texas. Hotel is located just off of the I-10 interstate. Right across the field from the Holiday Inn Express. Hotel staff was friendly, but overworked that night. Room was on the second floor, at the far end of the building, so we had to go up and down the snow/ice covered steps since there was no elevator. Our room was very nice and clean. Not very roomy, but still comfortable. Wife noticed standing water in the bathtub and that the water was slow to drain, so I went to ask the hotel staff if they had any drain cleaner so that I could fix the problem. They had none, so I drove through the snow to the local Dollar General store to buy some drain cleaner, but they had already closed early for New Years. Ended up taking a shower while standing in a bathtub half full of water! WTF??? Dogs had to go potty out in the empty field next to the hotel property. Would stay here again if there aren't any issues with the room.

Okay hotel in a nice location.

We stayed here on Dec. 30th-31st on our return leg of our trip. Hotel staff was friendly. Hotel room was clean and well appointed. The hotel, overall, was a little dated and in need of an update/renovation. Not really much grassy areas except along the strip next to the sidewalk/street for the dogs to go potty. Parking is downhill from the hotel's front entrance, so it's a little of a pain to load/unload your vehicle unless you drive up the hill and park in the loading/unloading parking spots just outside the front entrance. The bar/lounge on the top floor smelled musty and needed to be aired out and the bartender was a little strange/rude. Hotel is located along the road that runs along the coast and marina area and just down the road from a lot of nice beach homes/neighborhoods and scenic parks. Also near some historic downtown buildings. Would stay here again.

Clean hotel, nice staff.

We stayed here on Dec. 29th-30th on the return leg of our trip. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and well furnished. Didn't seem to have a lot of grassy areas for the dogs to go potty. Our room was facing the very busy I-10 interstate and I kept waking up during the night because of the constant sound of the loud cars/trucks and big rigs coming through the thin glass window of our room. Won't stay here again unless I got a room facing away from the interstate.

Clean hotel, great location, beautiful view!

We stayed here on Dec. 28th-29th on the return leg of our trip. The hotel and our room were nice and clean. The staff was very nice, friendly and courteous and they were the best staff on our entire trip across the U.S.!!! Southern hospitality at it's best!!! The location and property was also the best. Grounds were immaculate. Hotel is located directly across the road from the beach and is in a nice quaint part of Biloxi where there are a lot of nice historical beach homes. The wife fell in love with this area. Dogs loved walking on the beach too! Would definitely love to stay at this hotel again!

Nice hotel by Mobile Bay!

We stayed here on Dec.. 27th-28th on our return leg of our trip. Hotel and room were nice and clean. Hotel staff was friendly. Some grassy areas out in front of the hotel building for the dogs to go potty. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the bay and wetlands towards Mobile. Hotel is a short drive from Felix's Seafood restaurant, the battleship Alabama, Starbucks, Bass Pro, etc. Will stay here again!

Nice hotel w/ great location!

We stayed here on Dec. 13th-14th on our way to the central Florida gulf coast. This was a very nice and clean hotel right near the beach within walking distance. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach and gulf. Constant sea breeze blowing in off of the gulf. Room was clean and well appointed, as usual for a Hilton property. Staff was friendly. Big grassy areas on the property, just out in front of the main driveway, for the dogs to go potty. Just make sure to steer your dogs clear of the areas in the grass where the stickers are, so they don't get them in their feet. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel and location!

We stayed here on Dec. 12th-13th on our outbound leg of our trip. This hotel is located in a very nice and newer area, right across the road from a huge shopping center/mall area. Hotel was very clean and very well maintained inside and out on the grounds. Grassy areas in the perimeter strips around the parking lot and across the side street for the dogs to go potty. Hotel seems to be newer. Room were clean and sanitized just like all the other Hilton properties that we stayed at on our trip. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Will definitely stay here again!

Not clean during COVID!

We stayed here on Dec. 10th-12th on our outbound leg of our trip to the Nashville area. My wife immediately noticed that the hotel room was not cleaned satisfactorily, especially so during the COVID pandemic. Staff seemed indifferent at this hotel. Not a lot of grassy area on this property for the dogs to go potty, so we had to take them along the dirt area along the stone cliffside/wall directly behind the hotel, or over to the grassy areas of the vacant businesses next door. Hotel is located on a busy road and next to a weird upper/lower road and angled intersection with a stop light, just up the hill from a big shopping center area with Target/Home Depot/eateries, etc. We won't be staying here again.

Won't stay here again!

We stayed here on Dec. 9th-10th on our outbound leg of our trip. This hotel was dated and in serious need of renovation throughout the whole hotel! First thing I noticed in the hallway just around the corner from the front desk was a broken door off it's hinges with a cabinet pushed up against it to keep it closed! Really? Rooms were dated, dingy, and in need of renovation. Cleanliness seem okay. Needed to use the laundry room but the machines were out of detergent and the staff couldn't get any more from the locked storage room that night. Ended up having to drive to the store to get some detergent. Staff seemed indifferent that night. Not much grassy areas around the property for the dogs to go potty. Parking lot not well lit. Won't stay here again!

Nice location near The Silos.

We stayed here on Dec. 6th-8th on the outbound leg of our trip. We chose this hotel because it was located about 2-3 blocks from The Silos as seen on HGTV. Hotel was clean and had nice appointments/furnishings. Decor in the front lobby looked like it was from the 60s or 70s but the hotel was clean and had a nice bar/restaurant on the ground floor that we had drinks and food at both nights. Hotel and bar staff were very friendly and helpful with info on the area. Grass strips in the front of the hotel and in the parking lot islands for the dogs to go potty. The only thing that I didn't like about the location was that a freight train would come through the town in the middle of the night, constantly blowing it's loud train horn all the way through town, waking up everyone except my wife!

Great downtown location!

We stayed here on Dec. 4th-6th on our outbound leg of our trip. Perfect location within walking distance to the San Antonio Riverwalk area. A small local H.E.B. grocery store is conveniently located right across the street. Our room on an upper floor was overlooking the front parking lot and was clean and well furnished. Staff was friendly. Grassy strips in front and along the front perimeter of the hotel property for the dogs to go potty. Staff was friendly. Parking lot is well lit at night with a hotel security guard patrolling the lot. Would stay here again.

Very clean! Nice amenities too!

Stayed here on Dec. 2nd/3rd on the outbound leg of our trip. Next to the fancy and elegant Whittier Hilton that I stayed at 30 years ago, this is probably the nicest and cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed at. We were on the second floor in the front building overlooking the front parking lot. Our room had all the usual modern amenities that you would expect in a 4-5 star hotel. Plenty of lighting, microwave, refrigerator, iron, blow dryer, clean towels, TV, etc. Room looked, smelled and felt very clean during the COVID pandemic. I would definitely stay here again! Dogs loved staying here too! 😊. There was some small grassy areas in the front and sides of the property for the dogs to go do their business.

Decided to stay here again on Jan. 1st/Jan. 2nd on our return leg of our trip. This time we got here late at night and they gave us a room on the second floor in the angled building in the back of the property. Don't know what it was but the whole second floor of this building (and out room) had some kind of strong funky odor that smelled like canned beef stew/dog poop. Other than that, the room was very clean, just like on our first stay here a month earlier. Staff was friendly and courteous. Very nice location next to shops/boutiques/Mexican restaurant and bar.
