We’ll Stay Elsewhere
Sleep Inn & Suites Miles CityPros: very clean and quiet, easy to get to from freeway, decent complimentary breakfast. Cons: doggie potty area was an unkempt weed patch on another property. Fire exit signs pointing towards locked guest rooms. The so-called ADA compliant room we stayed in had a tub-shower combination, not an ADA accessible shower. Lots of picky rules, especially about pets. Price of room high for the area. If we travel to Miles City again, we’ll stay elsewhere.

FairBridge Inn Express DillonVery clean and quiet. Grassy doggy potty area. Great complementary breakfast. For dinner, try The Den, a nearby popular local restaurant. If you’re staying awhile and want to get groceries, there’s a Safeway in town. My husband and I enjoy visiting Dillon Montana, and we hope you do too!

Bring A Sleep Mask
La Quinta by Wyndham GlendiveVery clean and quiet. Very good complementary breakfast. Adequate doggy potty area; nothing but weeds, but at least they were green and mowed. Unfortunately there were very bright spotlights shining on the building and into the room windows all night. My husband put the bedspread over the drapery rod to keep out most of the light just to make it tolerable.

Wonderful stay
Best Western Plus Kelly Inn & SuitesVery clean and quiet. Big, beautifully furnished room. Lots of nearby restaurants to choose from. Great complimentary breakfast. At least two doggy potty areas with lush mowed grass. A few blocks from the highway, but easy to find and get to. We will stay here again on our way back home!

Great hotel, great town
Best Western Paradise InnThis was the best place we stayed at on our cross country trip. Quiet safe location in a nice small town. Very friendly helpful front desk staff. Big grassy doggy relief area. The best breakfast that we had on our travels. Best of all, the rooms are clean and well maintained. We will stay here again next time we travel through Montana!

Awful
Motel 6 Elko NVPros: friendly front desk staff and quiet location for being so close to I-80. But the cons far outweighed the pros. Dirty rooms; the first room we were offered hadn’t been cleaned at all, and the second one had been “cleaned” very poorly. Multiple maintenance problems, including electrical problems in the room and a deadbolt that did not work. Sketchy and weird people staying there like the tweaker in the room next door and the guy who yelled at our dogs every time he saw them. My husband said he’d rather sleep on a bench in the local park.

A Good Choice
La Quinta by Wyndham DickinsonWe always stay here while traveling through North Dakota. A good place to eat while staying here is Country Kitchen, just a short walk across the parking lot.

Great Views of Falls
Gooseberry Falls State ParkPros: relatively short walk from parking lot to upper or lower falls viewing areas. Cons: lots of steps up and down unless you seek out longer step free walkways, and tree roots and other trip and fall hazards on the trails.

Poor Choice
Super 8 by Wyndham BismarckOut dated property with a sketchy vibe. Not accessible for seniors and the disabled (examples: very low toilets, and steep narrow dark steps up to rooms and down to lobby and breakfast room). Poorly maintained (one example: filthy air conditioner filter). The doggy potty area was a patch of gravel next to the dumpster. Better places are available for the same price, unfortunately my favorite chain was sold out and this was my fourth choice.

Good Choice
La Quinta by Wyndham BozemanFriendly staff, quiet location, good breakfast, and best of all a large grassy pet relief area. A cramped bathroom is my only complaint.

Best Western Elko InnOne of the best places I’ve stayed in northern Nevada. We will be staying there again on our return trip home.
