WORST HOTEL! MOLD ON THE CEILING!
Ocean Park ResortMy fiance and I was looking forward to our ocean view room for months. The fact that the hotel was dog friendly sold us. Big mistake! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.. or should I say attempted to stay at. When we arrived it was very transparent we were going to have issues. There was several other guests waiting to check in and very unhappy. The lobby was so hot and no air conditioning. It smelled and looked dirty. Our room wasn't ready yet so we waited by the pool and enjoyed the ocean breeze. The front desk said they would call when our room was ready but after 40 minutes of waiting past check in time we were concerned so we went in to find that many other people were unable to get their room as well. We asked and they had to call house keeping several times to confirm if our room was clean. We finally got our room keys and headed to the elevator that shook the whole way up to the 11th floor and the door almost didn't open. I was horrified! Also it felt like a sauna in there, I could barely breathe. I know it's just an elevator but come on. The lights barely worked in there even. We got to our room and the door was propped open which had us a little worried. Immediately we were heartbroken. The room smelled of mold and it felt nasty just to stand in there. I took my shoes off to change my clothes and the carpet felt WET! I felt bad my pup even had to walk on the carpet. The bed had stains and everything was sticky and dirty. The view from the balcony was the only nice thing about the room. I was literally in tears. I couldn't stay here. I have asthma and once I seen the black mold on the ceiling I was done. I wanted out of there asap!! finally told him this place is disgusting and I want to leave! He took my keys and said ok. Ok? Really.. great customer service.. NOT! I wish I could give zero bones for the rating but I guess since I have to give at least one I'll say they are definitely pet friendly and we were given a bag of dog treats and a nice holder with a roll of doggie poop bags inside. I highly discourage anyone from staying here! We ended up at the La Quinta down the road and it was very nice. Saved our vacation!

Great room!
Holiday Inn Express Princeton an IHG HotelMy fiance, our pup, and I stayed here on our way down to North Carolina. Our room was very clean and updated. We couldn't get over how big and nice it was. The staff was very polite to us and our pup. The town had plenty of restaurants to choose from and the hotel was very easy to get to off the highway. I would give 5 bones but the only issue was that we booked a mountain view room and we had a view of a building out our room. There really isn't any good mountain view from the hotel. Your in the mountains but it feels more like a valley. I dont recommend paying any extra for a view. We weren't too upset because our room was so nice and again there wasn't a mountain view anyway. The breakfast was very good. Very yummy warm cinnabon station. Delicious! They had plain scrambled eggs we gave our pup so we was happy too. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great burger, good drinks, and spectacular view
Oceanfront Bar & GrillMy fiance, our pup, and I ate here and the service was great. Our waitress was very good to us and brought our pup a bowl of water without us even having to ask. They had good drinks and a decent beer selection. We were even able to get a side of bacon for our pup and our waitress made sure he was happy too. The view of the ocean was wonderful. We both had a burger and it was delicious! Cooked perfect and so juicy. We're still thinking about that burger. Fries were crispy and yummy. We weren't sure if we could bring our pup since we noticed a few signs that said dogs weren't allowed on the boardwalk during the months we were there but we asked anyway and they didnt mind at all! I highly recommend this restaurant! Enjoy good drinks and food with your dog in the ocean breeze.

Saved our vacation!
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Myrtle Beach - N Kings HwyMy fiance and I originally had a room at the ocean park resort and were disgusted by our room so we made the quick decision to check out and went to this hotel. Huge difference! This place is very nice and clean. I was in tears after leaving the last hotel and this totally changed our mood. We went up to our room and we barely walked through the door and immediately could tell this was a nice room. We were so upset with our experiance at the last place and the people at the LaQuinta inn were so friendly and got us a room right away. Pet friendly but we had to take our pup through the back entrance. The only downfall was the elevator back there was out of order but we didnt mind. We were only on the second floor. Our room was very updated and clean. The hallway did smell a bit funky and the breakfast was just ok, nothing special but again after the experience at the last hotel this place was amazing. I highly recommend. We may not of had a ocean view like our last room but we were still close by the ocean and the boardwalk. About 11 mins away by car. I gave 4 bones since the elevator was out of order, the weird smell in the hallway, and breakfast being nothing special but don't let that discourage you. This is a nice, clean, and pet friendly hotel! I would stay here again.
