Good location
Cabins of MackinawIt was a great location to the downtown shops & to catch the ferry to the island. I had requested a cabin but was scheduled in the lodge. The room was nice, except that we could hear EVERY SINGLE step the people upstairs made. It sounded like bowling balls being dropped above us. There was only minimal grassy area for my pup to go to the bathroom & to reach them you had to walk across the entire parking lot to the front of the hotel. We were supposed to stay 3 nights & only stayed 2. I don't think we'd stay here again.

Excellent
Americas Best Value Inn Mount Vernonstaff was friendly & accommodating! The rooms were clean, on the 1st floor & huge field to use for dogs to play & walk.

worst days I've been to!
Days Inn by Wyndham Mount VernonIf I could give less bones I would! The concierge was rude, the dog rooms are only on the 2nd floor & their elevator is out of order (which they did not notify us of ahead of time), and all the bedding machines are out of order. When I went to take a shower, there is only a dribble of water from the shower head & their were hairs in the shower & on the shower walls when i first pulled the curtain back! Ewww.. especially during a time when sanitation is of utmost importance!

Awesome!
Lobster CookerI was by myself with my basset Jake, just looking atthe posted menu. A gentleman approached & said that even if I didn't want to eat there, Jake could comeon the patio & get a drink. When I said I would love to eat there but had no one to watch Jake so I could go in to place my order he offered to sit out on the patio with Jake. The staff were very friendly & when I asked if it would be possible for someone to bring my food out to me since I was alone with Jake they were more than happy to help out! Upon returning to the patio I found out the gentleman who offered to watch Jake was, in fact, the owner Jeff! To add to a great experience, when they brought myfood they brought the pup some treats.
Had a great experience! &the food was terrific!
