Great location, very pet friendly
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago an IHG HotelOne of my favorite hotels in Chicago, with or without a dog. Hotel Monaco is about 3 blocks from Michigan Avenue, very close to the Riverwalk (with some grass for your pooch), but smaller and friendlier than many other hotels in the area. They have dog treats and water in the lobby, and the hotel staff are pet friendly. We only spent one night here during a cross country road trip, but we will be back.

Central location, pet friendly
Hotel MetroModern hotel in center of town, large rooms, very pet friendly. We spent one night here during a cross country road trip. Rooms are large and comfortable. Some noise from street construction during our stay, but a few pet friendly restaurants with outside tables in walking distance. The Covent Garden Market Place is also across the street if you want to run in and bring food back to your room.

Great location, very pet friendly
Shaker Mill InnWe spent two nights here in early August while visiting the Berkshires and going to Tanglewood one evening. We had a large room on the ground floor (Tanglewood room) with its own patio area. The owners are new and very pet friendly. They brought a basket with towels, blanket, bowls, treats, and a book of dog friendly hikes in the area. There is a grassy/gravel area across the street where you can walk your dog, and you can also easily walk into the small town of West Stockbridge to the coffee shop where there is outside seating. I would stay there again, with or without a dog.

lovely hotel in heart of old montreal
Saint-Sulpice HotelGreat location, nice rooms, and very pet friendly staff. We left our springer spaniel in the room for dinner down the street, thinking that she would be fine. They called us when she started barking. It took us 15 minutes to get back to the hotel, for which we were very apologetic, but they were extremely kind. The concierge even offered to babysit her behind the front desk! We opted for room service the next night, and the hotel food was good. There were a limited number of pet friendly restaurants in the area, mainly because it was very rainy in late July and so outside seating was limited.

Good pet friendly stopover
Holiday Inn Express & Suites North Bay an IHG HotelWe spent one night here at the end of July during a cross country road trip with our english springer spaniel. It is a clean Holiday Inn Express with a large room, located just off main highway through North Bay. Small area off parking lot for walking your dog, but apparently there is a nature area nearby where you can take your dog for longer walks.

Great view, nice room, dog friendly
Holiday Inn Express Munising-Lakeview an IHG HotelThis hotel is located on the outskirts of Munising. The rooms are large, nice, and clean, and close to a grassy area for walking your dog. Great view of the lake, basic Holiday Inn Express breakfast. Good place to recover after long drive.
