Beautiful Hotel - Noisy Rooms, bad door opening system.
La Quinta by Wyndham Denver Airport DIAOne of La Quinta’s newer hotels, this one looks great, but has some hard to understand issues. One is the door security system. They use the slide-in cards for the rear entrance and the rooms. Mine were very difficult to get a green light with., particularly when you have a frisky dog on the leash.
Secondly, the AC/heating unit was the loudest I’ve ever heard! This kind of unit is often problematic, but this one sounded like an airline making a low pass over the hotel. The room itself is also quite noisy with poor door and wall insulation. Big clue to the problem was the set of complimentary ear plugs on the night stand!
Grounds are very nice with plenty of grass area for dog walking. Disappointing that so many owners not cleaning up behind pets, but that may have been a Winter problem
Fix the door opening system and the heating/cooling units and you have a great hotel.
