One of our favorites!
Winnekenni ParkThis is one of my favorite places to walk my three dogs. The majority of the trails are wide, but if you want to do a loop around the lake, you will encounter single wide trails. If you are going during the spring or fall, the trails can be muddy, so dress appropriately. Ticks are always an issue during these times as well. More so than in so other areas that I walk my dogs, for whatever reason. Also, while leashes are required, you will unfortunately meet up with people that think that the rules don’t apply to them

Fantastic trail for dog walking!
Windham Rail TrailSince the only review for this trail is ten years old I felt the need to post a current one because this trail is fabulous! Clearly a lot has changed since then. The trail is very well maintained. I love walking down it with my two dogs because once you cross the overpass near Rt 111 it’s very peaceful being in the woods and hearing the birds singing and the other various sounds of nature. and I love that it’s paved so it doesn’t get muddy when it rains.
