Limited locations for your dogs
Blackhand Gorge State Nature PreserveDogs are only allowed on one trail, the paved Blackhand Trail. It is point-to-point, not a loop, so you'll need to backtrack.
All other paths are off limits for Fido.

Worthington restaurant - Couldn't get attention of any wait staff
La ChatelaineGryff and I really wanted to sit down for a late lunch, but we were asked to stay outside on the patio, which was quite nice, but no one ever showed up to take our order. I would have been quite happy to order and pay inside, but how? I had a dog and couldn't enter.
I know the food is good, but thecsyars didn't align for Gryffyn and I today.
By the way, we had made a special trip to Worthington to attend the city's "Dog Days Sunday Fun Day." Lots of dogs, but no real accomodations were made for them.

Nice bar and restaurant with great staff
Gresso'sGryff and i sat outside people watching. The patio is on High Street, which is busy, so we were entertained nicely.

Great park, but muddy
Violet Township Dog ParkThe Violet Twp Dog Park has wide open sight lines, is grassy, and is separated into small and large dog areas. The fencing is good, though a very determined small dog might be able to squeeze through gates in the fences. This is unlikely, but just be aware.
Two dogs per person. Please be vigilant about picking up after your dog. There are poop bags and disposal stations throughout the park, so there is no excuse to not do your doody duty.
High traffic areas become churned up and muddy very quickly, but this is to be expected. Come prepared with a cloth to wipe paws before getting into the car!!! If your pup is active, you'll want to wipe them down from head to toe, then perhaps bathe them once home. It's a small price to pay for a happy, exhausted dog.
There is a water fountain, turned off in cold weather, for your pups.
Four loops along the fence line on the big dog side is more than one mile, so it's a great excuse for owners to get exercise, too, while letting pups blow off steam.
