Poor communication between Hotel and the two third party companies

In a nutshell, I had booked a hotel room through BringFido, the hotel was supposedly booked, didn't tell Bring Fido, I even called the hotel directly two weeks prior to confirm my reservation. When I showed up after traveling 10 hours during part of my long distance drive...they said they canceled my reservation that day because of them being overbooked..and that I needed to call Bring Fido, which I did and they had no idea....I understand it may have been out of Bring Fido's hands, but it was still completely ridiculous because I was exhausted....The manager at the hotel first suggested that I book another room some where else which was 4x times I paid for my original room...and during that process of them trying to find a room...through the grace of God, someone cancelled at the original hotel I booked so I was able to stay there. However, when I requested my full refund Bring Fido said the hotel marked me as a no show as if I never stayed there. When I called them back they were able to refund me my $75 pet fee...but I still have not gotten my full refund for my hotel room. The moral of the story is not to book through a 3rd party, because the middle man between the hotel and Bringfido is Expedia, which has made the communication worse. Again it may not be BringFido's fault completely, but the lack of communication was absolutely unacceptable.
