Best dog beach yet!
Flagler BeachEasy access and a large stretch of beach for the pup. Dogs are supposed to be leashed, and most abide by that rule. With such a large stretch, beach does not get overwhelming with people/dogs as most do. No defined parking, but plenty of room on side streets.
Large off-leash dog beach, but most owners don’t pay attention to their pups.
Walton Rocks Dog BeachLong stretch of beach that would have been perfect had the other owners cared to watch their off-leash dogs. Large parking lot, bathrooms and showers.
DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM HERE!!!
Sunset Inn ManningMade a reservation, but services were never rendered. Minutes after making the reservation, I received a call from a male staff member saying if I wasn’t there to check-in in the next 3 minutes, I wouldn’t be able to stay because they closed at 8pm. When I told him I had never heard of a hotel/motel closing at 8pm, he immediately became aggressive. After some back and forth, he agreed to call his manager. After speaking with the manager, he called back to tell me they would wait for me but only if I paid $25 more for the room AND $25 more for the dog ($50 total on top of the reservation rate). He further accused me of hacking the site, as the rate I reserved was lower than they rent rooms for. I reminded him that they agree to prices with their vendors, and that has nothing to do with me, but he persisted. When I asked him to cancel my reservation, he refused. I spent more than an hour on the side of the road trying to work through issues caused by this place, and also had to contact and work with BringFido to ensure I did not get charged. The entire experience was ridiculous and a complete nightmare for someone who had been driving all day and just wanted to sleep somewhere for a few hours. I would avoid this place at all costs!!
Nice room. Dog-friendly only in acceptance of dogs for a few.
Days Inn by Wyndham Florence/I-95 NorthRoom was what you would expect from a Days Inn, nothing more. They were dog-accepting, in that you can have a dog for a $25/night fee, not dog-friendly in any other way.
Dirty rooms, but a great location/setup.
Makai Beach LodgeDirty comforters, holes in the walls and tears in the curtains, but at least the location was great - right on the beach, plus the room had outside access which was nice with a dog.
