Terrible
Staybridge Suites Round Rock an IHG HotelGot shunted here after plumbing problem at original hotel. Avoid if you have any mobility issues. No drive thru at front desk, parking space confines you with curb on 3 sides for unloading, entrance ramp on steep incline. Can park on level at rear but that outer door lock “broken” and does not open with key card. Hotel staff could care less. Learned to prop it open when loading/unloading. Room door lock kept malfunctioning. Went back at least 6 times to get new plastic key. Minimal green space for dogs. Tiny space at elevator, hard to avoid other dogs getting on/off. Room was dated. Mattress okay, frig worked, which is all I cared about. Had to go to big box store for roller cart to lug my stuff in and out - luggage carts never available. NOT for the handicapped!

Just what I needed
Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin-South/AirportWas going to stay at the state park but had to change to hotel at last minute. Reasonable rate hotels were sold out. This was close enough to McKinney Falls State Park for my event access. Decor and furniture dated BUT everything worked. Quiet, EZ room access, grassy area and side walk for the dog. Staff helpful. Good close parking. Felt safe. If you’re looking for a party place or Austin night life this isn’t it but it was just what we needed.

Great location
Element Denver Park MeadowsNice front desk folks. Good room, especially great shower. Nice desk space. Good sidewalk with grass, but bring your own poop bags. Fantastic breakfast (don’t miss it). Will definitely stay again.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs SouthNice and quiet. Worth the price to me. Areas for dog walk. Really enjoyed the large room with kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Just as expected
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Plainview an IHG HotelNothing special about this stay. Room clean but dated. Outdoor space for dog nothing special. We were just passing thru for one night.

Great stay
Canopy by Hilton Dallas UptownStaff friendly - gave a treat at check-in. There is actually a green grass strip in front between trolly tracks with plastic bags and trash. Expensive but I needed to be at this spot for Fiction Uptown so worth it to me. Amenities are what you would expect from upscale Hilton.

Bat choice for the area
La Quinta by Wyndham TrinidadTrinidad is of course a popular place to stay overnight. Hotel was fully booked the night we stayed. Room and common spaces were fine. Two outdoor areas for dog walks. Had to park in overflow parking but my car and contents were unmolested. This La Quinta did not trust me to dish out my own breakfast but instead supplied me with a ticket so a server could do that and also ask for a tip. My dog did well. Overall an OK experience - just passing through for 1 night.

Access to a great dog walk
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Littleton/Red RocksMattress was saggy. Outside door closest to my room would not open with key card. BUT it gets 5 bones because following the sidewalk at the rear of the hotel leads to the concrete bike path. Dog really appreciated a nice long walk! We were there on a Sunday nigh, did not meet a bicycle! Also close to a Walmart where we stopped to stock up on our way to RMNP. Safe area, friendly desk staff, good breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

La Quinta by Wyndham Sweetwater EastGreat for dogs. Clean, best mattress. Good breakfast. One of the best La Quintas in my experience. Will be back!

Great place to stay!
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham San AngeloI liked the room. Laminate floors - I just put down the dog's mat and he went straight to it. Friendly staff. Per fee not bad. Checked all my boxes: safe place to stay, safe place to park car. Mattress slightly soft but for 2 nights OK. Clean, quiet, everything worked. Convenient to FWY. Enough outdoor space to potty the dog. Also surrounded by hotels that all cost twice as much per night. Would definitely stay again.

Great place!
La Quinta by Wyndham Lubbock NorthIsolated in N Lubbock near some appts but no commercial buildings. Nice sidewalks for Dog walk. Grassy areas with poop stations. Staff helpful. EZ access from 289. Felt safe. Clean rooms in working order. Would definitely stay again

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Longmont an IHG HotelTransferred my reservation here after arriving at my initial reserved motel- dark, unsafe parking lot
What a difference here - well lit, important for us as we were leaving early in the morning this accessing parking lot in the dark. Casper loved it. Great room, friendly staff.

Mostly great stay
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Castle RockGot a room on short notice. Desk clerk halved the dog stay fee. Only negative was that it was a smoking room and I could barely breathe. Just remember this is not a smoke free facility and ask for a smoke free room if that is important to you.

Quality Inn & SuitesI liked that the rooms had jar flooring with an area rug. Instead of all rug. EZ access to outside. Pass thru here to and from Colorado. Would stay again.

Pricey but worth it
Hyatt Place Amarillo WestNeeds a safe place to stay on short notice. Also needed to get some remote work done. Nice room with good office space and 1 bed. Hard floors which I prefer on dog rooms. Premium fixtures. Dog fee was high, but this is what I needed for this 1 day stay. Would recommend.
