Windy Amarillo
Holiday Inn Express & Suites East Amarillo an IHG HotelOverall very nice room with big bathroom and comfy beds. My only problem was a lack of anywhere to take the dog for a walk. There was lots of grass around the building and parking area but it's otherwise a very busy area on the interstate.

Very nice overnight
Aloft Tucson UniversityNice newish hotel with very contemporary looks. Easy check-in and very nice room. Good to have a bar available in the lobby, although we didn’t utilize it. Like everywhere we go in the southwest, the dog area is lacking (no defined area or signs). We walked over to the U of A campus which is very nice. All in all I would stay again.

Good one nighter near Palm Springs
Best Western Date Tree HotelHotel has plenty of grass for the dog. Room was plenty large and good apportions. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was good size and all functioning. The people were very nice and we were able to check in a little early. Good assortment of food options @1 mile away. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight in Amarillo
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXThe location is really close to I-40 but not noisy. The grounds are nice and very well lighted so we felt safe. There’s not much close by that we were interested in for food so it was a 5 minute drive. Plenty of choices. The room is good but the bathroom was very small - had to stand next to the toilet to close the door and it just makes it past the toilet. Shower very nice. Check-in easy. All in all, I would go back.

Good stay
Holiday Inn Express & Suites St Louis West - Fenton an IHG HotelVery nice decor and comfortable. Bed and pillows very good. Dog walking area was adequate but we didn’t find a place nearby for a longer exercising walk. Staff was very nice. We’d stay there again. We had to leave before breakfast but my wife was able to grab a small carton on the way out.

Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South an IHG HotelEasy access from I-465 (although, stay away during rush hour). Nice room and good areas for the dog to sniff.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tulsa - Catoosa Route 66Good location for travel and lots of choices for meals. Reasonable price. Lots of grass for the pooch.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque MidtownThe immediate area was not very nice but the hotel was. Nice people. Usual breakfast. Pet areas graveled and without shrubbery. Didn’t want my wife out after dark. Very convenient to and from I-40.

Best Western Yuma Mall Hotel & SuitesVery nice room and convenient to the dog area. Lots of options for food within 1 mile. Excellent breakfast with friendly staff. Easy access from I-8.

La Quinta by Wyndham NW Tucson MaranaLimited area for dog expulsions and exercise. We walked him on U of Arizona campus for over an hour. Hotel noisy on our night, sharing with a high school soccer team. Still, it served the purpose.

Spartan but convenient
Motel 6-Richmond InThe dog availability was good. The accommodation was spartan and we could smell that it had previously been a smoking room. I wouldn’t return or recommend to anyone who doesn’t smoke.
