Dog friendly but not dog convenient

So they had no problem with us bringing our 4 large dogs and 1 cat which was nice. But to take the dogs out to potty, we had to ride the main elevator from the tenth floor to the lobby, walk through the lobby with the animals, take another elevator to the first level parking, then walk across the parking garage to a small corner with a thin piece of astroturf next to an entrance/exit. Most of our animals refused to use it as they did not feel safe. And being in the middle of the downtown area, there really wasn't anyplace for us to walk them outside the hotel.
