Fun day
The Island in Pigeon ForgeWe went to the Island and spent a few hours here. We played on the arcade and did some rides and lots of shopping. My Yorkie was in a stroller so I just wheeled her in to every store and had no problem. This place gets busy so a super nervous dog would be uncomfortable. My only complaint is there is no designated area for your dog to use the bathroom. I had to walk down a hill and put the back gate for some grass so she could potty. Other than that it was a fun day!
Super fun day
ExoRent UTV and Dune Buggy RentalsThe owners are super friendly. Dogs are allowed in the rentals no extra cost unless they make a mess. We are so happy we did this it was a great way to see the mountains.
Busy but fun place
Parrot Mountain and Garden of EdenWe really enjoyed all of the birds. I carried my Yorkie the entire time as there was a big group of kids who kept wanting to pet her. Overall the birds were fine with us. They are all beautiful and look very well cared for. We got lots of great pictures. Would definitely recommend if you have a calm dog.
Yummy pizza and cool patio
Mellow MushroomI am allergic to milk and it was amazing to be able to have pizza as they have vegan cheese. The menu has something for everyone but is a little more expensive but nothing to outrageous. The patio is dog friendly of all sizes. It was easy with mine because she is 6lbs and was in a stroller. I would definitely recommend you try this place!
Clean hotel
Hampton Inn Suites Oxford AnnistonThe hotel was clean. The beds are super comfy and lots of pillows. The breakfast is yummy and has lots of choices. Overall the hotel was quite and all of the staff was super friendly!
Dog Friendly and Comfy beds
Aloft Birmingham Soho SquareThe best thing about this hotel was the no pet fee! You just pay the rate and done. It is a good hotel, not the Ritz. The bar and breakfast is currently closed due to COVID. The rooms are spacious and the beds are SO COMFY. It was pretty quite you don't hear much in your room. Downside is the area to take your dog to pee and poo is across the street and it's small. I have a tiny dog so we also have her trained to use a grass potty pad, if we didn't it would of been difficult as the elevators are very slow.
Beautiful views
Cades Cove Loop RoadAlthough you stay in your car for this it was truly beautiful. It was fun to include the dog as she enjoys having her window down and taking in the sights. It can get backed up sometimes so allow plenty of time. We actually saw a black bear so that was cool. Definitely a must do if you are in the area.
Cute store
The General Store at Apple Valley Mountain VillageThis store has so much stuff. From magnets to fudge. I carried my dog but the aisle are small. I wish they had clothes for dogs that had the smoky mountains on it.
Dog friendly and very fun
Smoky Mountain River Rat TubingThis was one of our favorites on our trip. My little yorkie loved it! They will give you a tube for your dog but we opted to hold ours since she is so small. The river wasn't flowing to fast and my dog never fell off. You do have to bring your own life jacket for them. Best advice is to take a paddle or stick in case you get stuck it can be a lot of work to keep going. Wish they allowed dogs on Outpost B as well.
