Smelled like a kennel
Baymont By Wyndham Monroe OhioUpon check-in, the manager told us they only had one pet room available and that it would smell “musty” but it was because they had just shampooed the carpet. When we got to the room it smelled like my dog when he is wet and needs a bath. We had no other options so we held our noses, cut our stay short and left the hotel first thing in the morning. Very unpleasant stay.
Dated but nice setup
Best Western Prairie Inn & Conference CenterThe exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the rooms are refreshed. It has lots of grassy areas to walk dogs.
Excellent Choice
Wingate by Wyndham Sioux CityNice room with great walking on sidewalks to quiet residential neighborhoods for safe dog exercise.
Terrible Choice
Super 8 by Wyndham Rapid CityWe checked in and found the room with a rug with a large pet pee stain (about 18” diameter) and several other smaller stains. In fairness when we objected we were allowed to cancel our room without charge. Still this required is to scramble to find another pet friendly room in a busy tourist destination on day of check-in. Thank goodness we arrived early.
Great Stay
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Fargo NDGreat residential sidewalk areas to walk our dog near the hotel.
Urban location but nice
Best Western Plus Clocktower InnLimited dog area (Astro turf area with waste bags); right at hotel but grassy areas along city streets are nearby but best used in daylight. Fantastic. Breakfast included.
Great visit
MountainView Lodge & SuitesNice room, good location, fairly priced, and definitely dog friendly. They gave us first floor near side entrance for easy access to pet area.
