Firefly GrillReally great farm to table on lovely grounds, fantastic staff and service. Dogs welcome on covered porch. What a treat after a long drive!

La Quinta by Wyndham SalinaGrateful for a hotel that allows dogs when we needed shelter from a tornado watch. BUT hard to believe it’s a La Quinta! Very dated, run down rooms. First one smelled so much of dog pee I asked to change and the second smelled doggy but not intolerable. Stained carpet, dinged walls. Desk clerk said they’d be putting more money into the property- can’t be soon enough.

Super 8 by Wyndham EffinghamIt is a Super 8 so very basic and pretty run down, but it was clean. Nice grass behind and beside hotel, picnic table too. Grounds are weedy and tired looking. Very nice restaurant close by that allows dogs on porch - Firefly Grill. Also Calico Trail is close so can walk easily.
