Lucy loved Lucille
LucilleOf all the restaurants we visited during our trip to Madison, Lucille was by far our favorite. Lucille is surrounded on two sides by spacious outdoor seating where pups like me can wag our tails at passing pedestrians and enjoy our own personal water dish. I'm told the drinks and pizza were delicious but "not for doggies." Fellow four legged friends, I encourage you to try to sneak a bite from your owners though. Service was quick and friendly and they even remembered us the next day when we were passing by. Who could forget a face like this, though?
East Bluff is a quick but stunning hike
Devils Lake State Park CampgroundMy short little legs aren't built for hiking, but I had a great time exploring the eastern side of Devils Lake from the comfort of my doggy backpack. Taller and more active dogs will enjoy hiking on their own, though. Be sure your humans bring comfortable walking/hiking shoes. There are a few steeper and slipperier areas, but folks of all ages and activity levels can enjoy the scenery at their own pace.
Home away from home
Hyatt Place Madison DowntownMy humans and I loved our stay at Hyatt Place Madison Downtown, where we spent the long Memorial Day holiday weekend. I enjoyed the large bed for snuggling and snoozing and my dads appreciated the clean and quiet halls considering I wasn't the only four-legged guest staying in the building. Parking in the garage behind the hotel made for easy entry and exit and staff and guests gave me lots of love during our stay. Potty breaks were also easy with quiet grassy areas nearby. Five out of five bones from this little girl.
