Nice people, live music and good food!!!

The Harp Inn

We were out of town for a dog agility trial. Between 2 of us, we brought 5 well mannered dogs. No problem. We sat on the patio, listened to a live band and the service was outstanding.

Old run down hotel with lots of plumbing issues and neglect.

Hoover Dam Lodge

The dog rooms have never been remodeled and smell of cigarette smoke from when smoking was allowed in the rooms. The sinks don't drain for 45 minutes after when you run water. After asking the staff to fix the problem while I was out during the day, it was not repaired. The rooms are dark, dingy with no outlets except the bathroom to plug in a cell phone.

The signs outside the hotel state they have a steakhouse but that was removed a while back. There is only one Cafe restaurant on the property & they had a 25 minute wait before you would see a waitress. The other bars place menus out front pretending to be restaurants, but if you ask for one of the items on the menu they do not have the ingredients.

The entryway to the hotel smells like someone dropped a bottle of men's cologne on the floor. The smell is overpowering. I think they do this to try and mask the cigarette smoke from the Casino. I don't believe they have any of the fans to remove the smoke.

Yes, they allow dogs, but not a hotel I would return to.
