Great place!

Beautiful newer hotel, extra large room, convenient grassy potty area, right off the interstate. This was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed with our dogs and it was less expensive than many of the hotels we stayed at on our cross country road trip. Highly recommend!

Wouldn’t stay here again

This place was disappointing on so many levels. Checking in took forever even though we booked and prepaid. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived around 5pm and no bell to ring for assistance. When the front desk clerk finally showed up and pulled up our reservation she kept mumbling about problems with the reservation and how another staff member entered it incorrectly. She finally straightened it out. Our suite was at the opposite end of the one and only entrance and very far from the designated dog potty area. The shower head was broken.

Our suite was missing the couch—the woman who checked us in made it sound like we had a table instead; there was a small table but it wasn’t in place of a couch, the couch was clearly missing. There was a bright spotlight outside the window that was lighting the exterior of the building. It was shining right at our window all night long! I don’t have super high standards when staying at pet friendly hotels. As long as it’s clean and covers the basics I’m usually fine. But this place was terrible. And it wasn’t cheap! I would recommend choosing another hotel even if it costs a little more.

Clean and convenient

Despite the bargain basement price compared to other hotels in the area, this place was great. Yes, it’s an older property, but the room was nice and front desk staff was super friendly. It was right off the highway so great for a quick, overnight stay on our cross country road trip, and there were abundant food options very close. I’d definitely stay here again with my dogs.

Location not so good

The hotel seemed newer and nice, the staff were friendly and even let us check in early, and there were rock and grass areas for the dogs. The area is kind of remote, there’s not much around the hotel, and there are some dilapidated, closed businesses. There was a good Mexican restaurant across the street, but other than a McDonalds that was about it. Okay for a quick overnight stop.

New, Clean, Convenient

Great stay at a great price. Newer hotel. Nice big room. Convenient place to stay one night with our two dogs on our cross country road trip.

Convenient

Older property but the room was updated and nice. Front desk staff was very friendly and gave us a room on the backside of the building where it was quiet. Lots of security with lights and cameras.

Great place for one night on our cross country road trip

Convenient, right off the highway but far enough off we didn’t hear road noise. Room on the first floor for easy in and outs with the dogs. Nice room, clean and updated. Free hot breakfast before we hit the road again. And only about 10 minutes from downtown Knoxville so we were able to check out Market Square in the few hours we had available.

Do not recommend!

Unfortunately our experience was pretty bad. The carpet was wet underneath the AC unit and everything in the room was damp. The bathroom had mold around the shower. The area the hotel is in is not great and we had to drive 10 minutes to find someplace to eat. We also heard traffic noise all night long. And, they left a billing statement under our door which wasn’t even our statement. After asking the front desk staff about the statement, and waiting quite awhile for a manager to come out, they finally explained the statement was BringFido’s payment to the hotel, not MY payment (the amount didn’t match what I paid). Why they gave me the statement I have no idea as all it did was cause confusion. The only plus was for some reason they did not charge me the pet fee.

Very dog friendly!

The hotel was nice, nothing special but totally adequate for a one night stay on our cross country road trip. Of all the places we’ve stayed this is the first one that gave us little doggy bags with treats and a poop bag at check in - such a small gesture but it really made us feel like they welcomed our dogs. They also had a big grassy area behind the hotel where we could let the dogs run around and play ball. The only negatives were it is close to the highway so there was some street noise all night long, and the free breakfast was limited to packaged food items (they are still doing this due to the Covid pandemic) even though some of the hotels we’ve stayed at are back to offering hot breakfast.

Great hotel but not great dog accommodations

The Graduate is a very nice hotel. Full of character and right in the middle of town adjacent to the university, with cool shops and restaurants within walking distance. However, while they welcome dogs, it’s not the most convenient place to stay with a dog. Parking is offsite in a parking garage (and it cost $14 to self park, no valet), there is no designated potty area-we found a little dirt planter by the street and had to walk a block to find grass. And we were on the 6th floor so not quick and easy to take a dog out. I expected more with a $25 pet fee. All that said, it is a very nice hotel and the beds are extremely comfortable. I’d stay there again, just not sure I would stay with dogs again.

Nice hotel in a great location

Loved the nearby walking path along the river; really close to The Archway, grass outside for the pups to potty, nice room, quiet hotel. Only negative was they still aren’t serving the free hot breakfast.

Nice hotel, no hot breakfast

The hotel was nice, clean and quiet. There was plenty of grass around the parking lot to potty the dogs. Our room was conveniently located on the ground floor near an exit making it easy to take the dogs out. Despite most of the hotels on our cross country road trip offering a full hot breakfast, this hotel is still limited due to the Covid pandemic and only offered a small bag of packaged snacks.

Nice place to stay on our cross country road trip

It was clean, quiet, had a nice grassy area to potty the dogs, full hot breakfast, and conveniently located right off the freeway. Would stay there again.

Okay place to stay one night on our cross country road trip

The hotel was fine, the free hot breakfast was great, my only complaints were: 1) the dog potty area which was basically a dirt strip on the other side of the parking lot. The dogs had to walk across the hot blacktop during 95 degree weather; 2) our room did not have a window to the outside (it opened to a covered indoor hallway out to the pool) so we had no daylight. But the room was clean and the room was quiet, so for one night’s sleep while driving cross country it was sufficient.

Best stay of our cross country road trip

What a cool place! Lovely quiet rooms, super friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast brought to your room, free wine or beer the night we checked in, a shaded turf dog potty area with bags, and personality galore! The staff even recommended an amazing little takeout restaurant where we could get a healthy, gluten free and dairy free dinner. I would definitely stay here again!

Super friendly, helpful staff

The hotel was new and very nice, and clean. The staff was super helpful. The front desk clerk told us about some grass ball fields nearby where we could go play ball with our dogs, and she even printed out directions for us. A great place to stay for one night on our cross country road trip with our two golden retrievers!

Glad it was only a one-night stay

We stayed here once before 3 years ago, but it seems to have gone downhill since then. The rooms are dingy, old, and in dire need of some refreshing. There was a lot of noise in the hallway outside our room until really late. And the dog potty areas were littered with cigarette butts, beer caps, and trash. Won’t stay here again. Will find someplace outside of Memphis.
