Perfect
Tru by Hilton Louisville EastI had a great experience at this hotel from beginning to end. I felt safe as a single female. There was plenty of safe space to walk my dog. The bed linens were amazing. I’d stay there again just for the sheets! Fully stocked breakfast & bars. Nicely appointed room. Felt like staying at a friend’s posh apartment. Highly recommend.

Big Mistake
Best Western Plus Columbia InnI chose to stay here based on the positive reviews, but wish I would have stayed elsewhere. Pros: close to interstate, restaurants/grocery, friendly staff. Cons: Horrible mold/mildew smell in first room, had to switch to new room (thankfully no smell in second room); same mold/mildew smell in stairwell which was worsened by the apparent attempt to cover with air freshener; on a very busy street with no access to a sidewalk to walk my dog, so I ended up running across the street to walk her in the Home Depot parking lot across the street—not ideal and felt dangerous; feels like a not super safe part of town, so our walk was brief; if you’re a female traveling alone, this place should be a hard pass. I wish I would have known.
