Only dissappointement was pooch missed the free range chicken dinner
White Oak Lavender Farm & the Purple Wolf VineyardThis place is as tranquil and beautiful as it gets. The wine bar welcomes dogs and allows you to enjoy tastings and then glasses of wine throughout the grounds. Only the livestock/discovery section of the farm is off limits to the dogs. One of the chickens left the shelter of the livestock area and came close enough that our dogs thought they were going to have a "fresh" chicken dinner. The wine making here has come a long way in the last few years and really shouldn't be missed.
Nice place to stay with pets
Candlewood Suites Harrisonburg an IHG HotelOverall great place to stay with pets but if your pet gets antsy hearing noise from the hall this might not be a great fit. The hotel does a nice job of providing a decent dog walking area but a lot of guests fail to clean up after their pets despite the hotel providing trash cans and poop bags. The layout of the rooms gives plenty of space for pets to spread out or for you to set up a crate if needed.
