Convenient
TA Travel Center WythevilleI needed a place to let my pups have a romp off leash. There's no fence here. Otherwise it's adequate
Not dog friendly today
Three VIt takes a lot of time to research and find a restaurant along your route that is dog friendly and navigate to that place. When they have randomly decided not to be dog friendly it kinda ruins the evening.
Amazing food
Bonefish Harry'sThe food was incredible. We sat outside on the patio with our dogs, and the heat was unbearable so we can't say anything about ambience. Staff was friendly
Great location especially with dogs
Towne MotelWe stopped here for one night, our fifth, on the way to New Brunswick. Needless to say, we were road weary and had gotten off the interstate looking for a road a little less traveled. What an amazing find! I could say it is clean but that would be a disservice to the property. It is pristine. Every detail is attended to and neatly maintained. We had a first floor room because of the dogs. No carpet to retain previous guests' "events." Check. Near the grass so the pups can quickly make it to a potty spot. Check. This is far nicer than any of the higher priced chain properties we have stayed at for a long time. There should be a special category for a little out of the way motel like this. Breakfast, laundry facilities, pool. Very friendly and helpful folks.
More positives than negatives
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Buffalo AirportI loved the fact that we got a room right by the outside entrance and potty area for the pups. This is super important to me with young pups who just had an accident in the elevator earlier this morning because the pup room was in the 4th floor even though I requested 1st floor. This property was thoughtful about where they booked us. This was super convenient to step out and go to the car as well. The wall paper is a little tired and worn but so am I. The important stuff they got right. The great staff was also a breath of fresh air. I would not look around at all 8f I have the dogs next time I'm here.
Best pup hotel so far
Wingate by Wyndham Valdosta/Moody AFBThis property is very nicely planned, and especially so for traveling with a pet. The pet rooms have tiled floors, great for pups out of their routine and a little confused so having accidents. There are balconies, ours was enclosed, first floor, to make it easy to go out first thing in the morning. The rooms are around a central courtyard with pool and hot tub and a patio where you can enjoy your coffee and breakfast outside, weather permitting. The icing on the cake is the fenced in exercise park with a shaded bench. It's also a very nice place to stay if you're without a pet.
Remarkably pleasant
Quality Inn ColumbusI can't quite give five bones because this is a little dated and downstate. We were in spontaneous mode and got ready to stop for the night, only to realize we were in Hurricane Ida evacuation overflow area plus college football night and had limited options, so we chose this property. It is a small, older motel, but it is extremely well maintained, very clean, with authentically friendly folks and a free breakfast well above average of any I've had in many years at any level of lodging. The pet friendly aspect is on the low side, I would call it more "pet tolerant", but we managed just fine given the circumstances.
