Pets permitted but odd layout and other issues

Stayed at the Westin for one night. The hotel permits pets but not truly pet friendly; more like pet tolerant. Staff wasn’t especially friendly to pets (or humans), no water, food bowls or treats anywhere, etc. If you park in the hotel’s garage without using their valet service, you have an absolutely journey to get to your room: elevators in the garage, thru a mall, an elevator to the hotel lobby, another elevator to the reception desk, and a third elevator to your room. Truly bizarre layout. Last gripe: there’s no convenient place to take your dog to potty, as the nearest park is about 4 blocks away. Would not recommend.
