Good Value!
Wingate by Wyndham Valdosta/Moody AFBThis was a comfortable, if not spectacular stay. The room was a little old & worn, but clean. The breakfast was better than average. I travel with 2 large Bernese Mountain Dogs and am most appreciative of a reasonable pet fee, which at the time of this review was $20 for both dogs. There was plenty of green space for walking & even a little dog park. Now, if dog owners would only do their part & clean up after their pets, please!!
Very Helpful & Friendly Staff
Equus Inn OcalaThe staff was great! Breakfast was nice. The room was clean, but tired & a little beat up. The one thing I did not like is that a lot of rooms are rented to day laborers & it was Friday night, so they partied outside in the courtyard until 1:30 in the morning. I am pretty sure these guys aren’t paying the same daily rate that I did! Overall, it’s a good stop as long as it’s not a Friday!
Always a Good Stop
Hampton Inn AdelI would give five bones except the soap dispenser in the shower was empty & there was no soap at sink. Fortunately, I had a small bar of soap in my toiletry kit. I have stayed here many times. As usual, the hotel is wonderfully dog friendly with no dog fees or size restrictions. Our room was quiet & comfortable. There is a fenced area outside for dogs to be off leash, plus plenty of other grassy areas for walking. Breakfast is better than the usual motel breakfast. There are restaurants nearby & the hotel is convenient to I-75. I definitely recommend the Hampton Inn at Adel.
Just OK
Jameson Inn PerryThis place is not horrible, but not great either. The room looks tired & used, as is the bed & awful pillows. The room was clean enough (I kept slippers on!) & very quiet. Plenty of dog walking space & not a lot of poop to dodge, so people either clean up, or not that many dogs stay there. I have 2 dogs, so with the additional $30 fee, plus other taxes & fees, the room ended up being over $130 & it definitely wasn’t worth that. The breakfast is not worth even factoring into the value. It is located in a good area with lots of restaurants nearby & I felt very safe walking the dogs.
Loved This Place!
Publick House Historic Inn and Country Motor LodgeYes, the room & bathroom are old. BUT, the place was clean & quiet. The staff was so nice. There were endless places to walk. It felt safe & comfortable, & my dogs seemed to feel the same way, as they were much more relaxed than they had been the night before at a Red Roof Inn. They have an 80 pound weight limit, but I called the day before & they didn’t hesitate to allow my 2 much larger Bernese Mountain Dogs. The BringFido rate was $71, which would have been a bargain if not for the $25 pet fee—which covers both dogs. We had dinner in the restaurant on site, which was convenient & quite nice. I would definitely go back!
