Decent location, maybe not THAT dog friendly

Let me start out by saying that they did try to renovate some of this property, however they did a poor job and things don't work or aren't put together properly. We did see many dogs staying here but we personally only left our poochie alone in the hotel once, and received a phone call about him barking, which was surprising to us because our boy isn't a barker.... My assumption was they went and knocked on the door and then he would bark of course. Luckily when they called we were right around the corner so we were able to go back and find our boy VERY anxious! Side note, there are grassy areas but they are not well maintained and watch for ant and gnat infestations. Also, our stay was prior to learning about "BringFido" and the front desk was NOT FORTHCOMING about the fees with having the dog in the room, in fact I didn't find out until I didn't receive my room deposit back. I never mind paying to bring my fur babe with me, but I like to be aware of the costs up front. Overall, I would stay somewhere else over this hotel.
