Great little oasis in Austin
Red Bud IsleLimited parking, so be patient. Nice wide paths that lead to a lovely tip of the peninsula and a nice view of Lady Bird Lake. We met some friendly dogs while off leash and leashed up as well. We’ll return on a future visit to Austin.
Nice quiet off leash walk
Mary Moore Searight Metro ParkEntrance is off 1st Street just past Slaughter Lane. The dogs loved a romp through the wooded trails and everyone was polite. It’s a nice 1.2 mile loop and great that it’s fenced in.
Favorite off leash park in Austin
Shoal Creek GreenbeltShoal Creek Green Belt Off Leash from 24th St-29th St was quiet with a few runners, bikers, and dog walkers along the way on a Sunday evening. Our dogs enjoyed scampering through the trees, over rocks and along the path. It’s close to N. Lamar, but buffered by vegetation. Our favorite so far of the three off leash parks we visited this trip.
