Can not recommend enough!

Home2 Suites by Hilton Seattle Airport

Pet review: the green space isn’t very big, but it was always stocked with poop bags and a can to put the waste in. But it has surrounding areas you can take them too that are close by. Upon check-in we received a small goodie bag which contained dog treats and a paper that showed the near by vet clinics and dogs park addresses. We were able to sit with our pets at breakfast in the funky decor of the lobby to eat.

Human review: the breakfast was amazing, the hotel and grounds are very clean. the staff is amazing. The pool was a big on the chilly side, but still very much enjoyed it. It has laundry facility that was free to guests (which was perfect if you stay more than a couple of nights like we did). The local is really great if you are flying out of SeaTac like we did. They have a shuttle that goes to the airport every hour (we didn’t use that service so call for questions) and lots of shopping and eating nearby. We found a Mexican restaurant Azteca that let us have our lil dogs on the patio while we had dinner. Not sure if they were originally pet friendly to begin with, but when we went it was slow at that time. So give them a call and ask before going over with your pet. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone with a pet!

Not the best

La Quinta by Wyndham Salem OR

It is pet friendly, but that is about it. The green area for pets has large dead spots, and backs up to a fence and on the other side it is full of berry bushes. So with berry bushes come the bees. And a lot of them in the area where your pet will be. We were there for 2 weeks before we moved overseas. When we got there we let them know they were out of poop bags; they did not get replaced until almost the last couple of days we were there. There are no gift bags for the pets upon arrival or any complimentary bowls or beds. The back door that leads to the green space to take your pet does not have a locking key pad, so once you go out, there is no way to get back in, accept the front door. The area where the green space is was also full of small shards of glass and trash, but the hotel is right behind an old Costco building, so we could at least take the kids to go walk and do their business there. We just brought our own poo bags.

The cleaning staff are amazing, the beds are comfy, and the breakfast was really good. There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance but a Dennys. So you will have to have food delivered or go pick it up.

But as far as a review for the pets stay I gave it 2 bones. As we were there, there was new ownership that was taking over, so I’m hoping they can take it and shine it up.

Good basic stay

La Quinta by Wyndham Amarillo Airport

We only stayed one night. Easy check-in on the outskirts of town. They put all the pets in the same floor, and the doors are heavy and other pets will bark if they aren’t used to it. Carpet in the room instead of linoleum or hardwood so your pet will continually smell the last dogs smell in the rooms. But fine for one night.

Everything you might need

Ace Hotel New Orleans

Everyone on the staff was so kind to us and our pet during our stay. Close to the French quarter, and just a block up is a place to walk your pet and at the end of the day sit with your pet in the amazing bar. We will be back every time!!
