Room was dirty

Hotel Aspen InnSuites Flagstaff/Grand Canyon

I reserved this room at the last minute as I was headed into Flagstaff, so my expectations were pretty low. The room was very basic, which was ok, but there was dirt and debris still on the carpet, especially behind the door. The room smelled faintly like kitty litter as well. Nice fridge and microwave in room, and bed was fairly comfortable. Area for pets to do their business in is just a weedy area around hotel, but they did have disposal bags and container, so that was nice. There were a lot of dogs there, so I suspect that this is a popular place and lots of doggy smells. Room was ground floor and noisy, heard every sound outside and on both sides. If you just need a place to rest your head and pets, this is ok, but if you're looking for something relaxing and cleaner, you might want to look a bit further.

Wonderful Hotel!

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown

My 'girls' and I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Phoenix. The hotel is lovely, the pet friendly room was clean and well furnished, the bed was ah-mazingly comfortable. Staff was very sweet and accommodating to the dogs, even when I had to bring them downstairs to the cafe to order a meal. The server brought them water and treats and they were welcomed everywhere. The only negative thing I can say is that there is no pet area at the hotel, so one has to go outside of hotel grounds to let pets do their business. There are some appropriate areas very close by, but late at night in downtown area can be a bit uncomfortable for a single woman. It would be really nice to have a place to take them that was more secure and safe.
