Perfect for a coffee and atmosphere
Weather Center CafeWe had a coffee here when we arrived in town. The back has a variety of tables and had a wonderful view of the harbor. It's also a walking path, so people are frequently passing by, so if you have a friendly, excitable pup just be prepared. :)
Great green space for walks
Comfort Inn & Suites Grafton - CedarburgCheck in was simple, no fuss. I even checked to make sure they knew I had a pet, and it was a non-issue.
The back of the hotel has a pond and lots of green space for walks. Lots of stuff for my pup to smell.
It's a fairly quiet location. The room itself was a bit tiny compared to othe rooms I've had at Comfort Inns. The breakfast was pretty lackluster, but we stayed over a Sunday night, so weekends may have a better spread.
But those little issues are nothing compared to how easy check in was and the friendliness of the staff.
Fantastic place to chill
3 Sheeps Brewing CompanyWe were able to have a nice beer after a long journey with our pup beside us. There were other dogs hanging out and the other patrons were friendly.
You can order food for delivery if you need a snack with your drink.
Good for a night stay
Red Roof Inn HuntingtonThe rooms could use a deep cleaning, but the important parts were spotless. Bathroom and bed linens were excellent. It's a small room, but it was a safe area and perfect for a night stay while traveling. Check-in was easy, the price was the same as quoted, and there was no issue with having a dog. The clerk was disappointed that they didn't have a bottom floor room available to make it easier on our older dog. I wouldn't stay here for a week, but it was perfect for an overnight.
Nice roomy hotel, good location
Fairfield Inn Richmond ChesterThis is the second time staying at this hotel, but the first stay with our pug. Check-in was easy and the pet fee was $75 as stated on their website. They try to keep the pet visitors on the first floor. We saw many other dogs over the week, but we didn't hear a peep/bark from our room. It was very quiet.
Besides the doggie checklist, it is a nice clean hotel with spacious rooms. The tv has a modern interface that makes it incredibly easy to watch your Netflix or plug in a laptop with an HDMI. Breakfast was the basics every day-> eggs, sausage, bagels, oatmeal, and the breakfast area was always stocked and tidy.
The gym is also nice with updated equipment and filtered water dispenser. Just a note, there is no pool. The google listing and website still say that it has a pool and hot tub, but these were recently converted to a larger dining area. The only drawback was that there wasn't a designated doggie area. There is a stretch of grass on the back side of the hotel that got pretty muddy during our stay. It was fine for our small dog, but we played with a golden retriever that was up to his knees in mud! We were at this hotel for a full week and it was easy to call it home during the stay.
