Not much sleep at Sleep Inn
Sleep Inn & SuitesWe were looking for a quick stop over on a long trip. Conscious of the cost we chose Sleep Inn because it was one of the less expensive choices. There were good and bad things. Pros: The staff was very nice. Check in was quick and easy and I was granted my request for a end room on the first floor. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the toiletries were nice. The coffee was very good.
Cons: There was a 2" gap under the door and the walls were paper thin. We could hear everything from the hall and neighbor rooms. The room overall was clean but the surfaces of the fridge and door were filthy. There was a grassy area for the dogs but it was strewn with trash and had multiple piles of unattended poop rendering in unusable. (We were able to walk our dogs across the street in a large grassy area). The breakfast staff was very friendly but a motley crew that was not very professional. The maintenance staff the same and had a loud shouting incident with f words flying in the parking lot while we were loading up to leave. So overall, not my favorite place to stay. We won't stay again.

Great doggie hotel
Wingate by Wyndham BrunswickWe had a pleasant stay at Wingate. My favorite aspect was the ample green grassy walking areas for the dogs. It is located at the end of a busy road and backs up to a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room on the first floor was very clean with everything we needed to be comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. We could not hear noise from outside or other rooms. The coffee was exceptional. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Location right off of 95 was convenient. Staff was friendly and efficient. We will stay here again on our frequent journeys to Florida.

A Gem!
The Village Inn HarrisonburgWhat a great find! I've been traveling route 81 south for 10 years and have not found suitable accommodations for myself and my dog until now. The village inn is spit spot clean, quaint, friendly staff and amazing dog walking area. Our room was so comfortable and we heard no noise from other rooms like you do in a hotel. We had everything we needed. Many extra nice touches. And we had a balcony to boot! My husband had the breakfast buffet that he thought was wonderful. The breakfast menu was very reasonable and Mary was friendly and efficient. The room was a good value, under $100 with an additional $15 pet fee. We will be staying here from now on on our southward journeys.

Great stay in Kingsland
Wingate by Wyndham Kings Bay Naval BaseWe had a nice stay. Friendly staff. Nice and clean. The breakfast was standard, but well done.
