Dirty, poop bags everywhere, uncontrolled dogs

I brought my 4.5 month old fully vaccinated golden retriever to this dog park. I loved the size. BUT that was it. There were poop bags everywhere. People came with dogs on leashes but would let their dogs off leash and I saw two people have to break up a dog fight. I wanted to love this park so much but it was just gross. Sadly, we won’t be back. A week after his visit here, he got VERY sick - lethargic, diarrhea and it lasted over two months. He’s FINALLY getting back to normal. Vet said he caught a BAD BUG from somewhere but that park was the first and last place I had ever brought my dog. He hadn’t even stepped foot inside a Petco or anything yet because he hadn’t been fully
vaccinated until the day before that dog park trip.
