Possibly worst lodging experience ever

I checked in and went to my room and saw that the lock was broken. Like there was no functioning safety lock. I'm a woman travelling solo, so this was very unnerving. I called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room and they gave me a key to a second room, which I opened to find people in. I went back to the front desk and was told that there shouldn't have been people in that room, so apparently I walked in on some squatters??? They were completely booked otherwise so I had to go back to the room with the broken lock. I literally barricaded the door with furniture so that I could feel safe enough to sleep. On top of all this, the room was freezing despite me having the heat turned all the way up. The bedding, floor, walls, and bathtub were extremely stained and dirty, and the power went off twice. The wi-fi also didn't work at all, despite them having six networks to choose from. Worst experience of all time.
