Dog Friendly & Good Beer
A Few Old Goats BrewingI love the fact that your dog can be inside with you. There are bowls by the “Watering Station” and dog treats up at the bar.
Horrible Experience
Red Roof Inn Greensboro ColiseumMy husband booked us at RED ROOF for an overnight stay. He read and made sure they accepted pets. When we got there, they charged us a $50 additional fee for the dog. There was no information on their website regarding this fee. He would have to intuitively gone to property website to check for an extra fee. He was upset by this unexpected expense, but checked in anyway.
Our room was supposed to be smoke-free. However, when we entered we were accosted by the smell of smoke. There were cigarette burns on the comforter in several places. Clearly someone had been smoking. Within 10 minutes my husband started to wheeze due to his asthma. So, he went to ask to change rooms due to the overwhelming smoke smell and concern for his health. He was told that there were no more pet- friendly rooms available. The only help they could give us was to refund our money.
So, at 7:30pm we were without a place to stay in Greensboro with a dog.
Lifesaver
Wyndham Garden GreensboroDue to a terrible experience at another local hotel, we were left stranded in Greensboro at 7:30 at night. We called this Wyndham hotel where they assured we could bring our dog for only a $20 fee and a $50 hold. We booked and went straight over. Our room was spacious and the staff was very friendly. It is currently doing renovations. So, the main elevator didn’t work like a previous reviewer had stated. Overall, for a one night stay it was just right.
