Could be great, but...
Dusty Rhodes Dog Park.... this a large space, plenty of area to run and play. However, it is not well maintained, a lot of inattentive owners, and long time visitors can be oddly territorial and rude. Great people come here too but I would say if you have large dogs, be very cautious of fearful dog owners.

Shorehouse KitchenThe breakfasts are superb and the word is out! You’ll definitely wait on weekends but you can order a specialty coffee while you wait. Plenty of outdoor seating and room for all pups, great and small.

Love Pups!
Barbarella Restaurant & BarI have two large dogs who are fawned over by wait staff. They immediately bring water and their own menu. If you happen by on a holiday prepare yourself for over-the-top decorations. Halloween is the best - fewer tourists and perfect weather.

Small Dog Friendly
Piatti La JollaI own two large dogs and frequent Piatti’s almost weekly. This would not be an ideal place to bring pets unless it was Oct-April, no holidays, during the week, at lunch. This is excellent dining and not a place anyone would welcome furry ones as a general rule.
