Good overnight stop
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ & Suites Knoxville West-Cedar BluffEasily accessible from the interstate. Friendly staff, efficient check-in, clean room. Reasonable dog walk area. Breakfast included. Surrounding area hotels, businesses and restaurants. Felt safe.

Satisfactory stay
Rodeway Inn Broken Bow - HochatownOlder property but the room was recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable. Reception staff was friendly and professional. They charge a pet fee, identified upfront in the reservation process. The hotel is located on a busy highway and directly adjacent to a travel center, so a bit noisy. We stayed on the pool side, so closer to a suitable area to exercise our dog. Lots of restaurants, both chain and local, nearby as is a Walmart. Would stay again.

Great place
Statue Road InnNice family run motel. Room nicely decorated and clean. Property well maintained. Reception staff friendly, helpful and professional. Grassy area to walk our dog. They charge a pet fee, but suggest that you call directly for reservations and additional information. Restaurants are a couple of miles away. Would definitely recommend this property.

Acceptable stay
Super 8 by Wyndham EffinghamAs others have mentioned, this property needs some freshening, but the room was clean. Paid a $10 pet fee. The lobby is shabby, but the rest of the property seems fine though a bit dingy. Location is in a retail area with close proximity to food and shopping. Unfortunately there was a lot of debris in the grassy area available for dog walking.

Good location
Red Roof Inn & Suites Cave CityLocated just off the interstate. Room was clean, ground level, outside door. Ample space to walk our dog with good lighting at night. Several food options nearby, including 1 with pet friendly outside seating. Fuel nearby. Only negative regarding room is typical of hotels of the era - the windows look like they need washed on the outside.

Great receptionist, otherwise not so much
Americas Best Value Inn West MonroeWe were originally booked at Comfort Suites (erroneously reported as pet friendly on Trip Advisor, but service dogs only) and had to find another place to stay. We had a satisfactory stay at another Americas Best Value the night before, so we called this property. The receptionist was friendly, professional and helpful, but we were very dissatisfied with the room. Overall the property needs a major refresh. Our room was not clean and had ceiling tiles missing and the faucet in the bathroom sink wasn't attached. Receptionist took us to another room which was better, however the deadbolt didn't work properly and door weatherstrip was missing, ceiling tiles askew and the TV remote didn't work. There is very little grass available for walking the dog. The location is fine - in the middle of a major retail area with Walmart directly across the street and several chain restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately, however, outside of the receptionist people skills, this place has very little going for it in its current condition.

Americas Best Value Inn TupeloDecent location convenient to interstate and Natchez Trace Pkwy. Short drive to Elvis Presley attraction and restaurants. Next to Love's Travel Center. Ample areas to walk dog, but watch for large ant hills. The room was clean and comfortable, lower level with outside door. There was a $15 pet charge. Would stay again.
