Great base for exploring the French Quarter
Magnolia New OrleansNice, well maintained hotel near the French Quarter. Pay parking available nearby for $30 per night. Front desk receptionist John (the dog whisperer) made the stay memorable.

Walker River LodgeReally felt welcome here. Plenty of walking options for the dog. Beautiful location.

Not Ideal
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham RenoRoom was pretty stinky. Rude front desk. We arrived early and were turned away. Nice pool-sized grass area in the middle of the parking lot for dog sanitary needs. Lots of homeless apparently living in the area.

Ramada by Wyndham ElyNoisy (casino hotel) with arrivals and departures going on all night. No good place to walk the dog.
