Great!
Drury Inn & Suites Dayton NorthThe greeting was friendly. The pet relief area wasn't huge, but sufficient and stocked with poop bags. The room was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast decent. All good!
OK
AmericInn by Wyndham Clear LakeThe hotel was adequate, nothing special. Right off the highway. The pet relief was decent-sized, but no poop bags. I had my own, but no one else seemed to care (i.e. a minefield of poo).
Ugh
Wyndham Springfield City CentreMy 40 lb mutt is a suburb/country dog, so my mistake for booking a "city center" hotel. The vast expanse of concrete sidewalks freaked him out. Perhaps this location would work for a small dog. Other than accepting my $50 pet fee, this was NOT a pet friendly hotel. We were put on the 12th floor, which meant a stressful elevator ride every time I had to take my dog out. There was no on site pet relief area, and certainly no poop bags. Some grassy bits between sidewalk & buildings were about a block away--ok for during the day, not so great at 11 pm.
The hotel itself had definitely seen better days. The main entrance revolving door was broken. Buckets to collect leaks were on the mezzanine. In the room, the shower faucet dripped, the heating didn't seem to work properly, the ice maker on the floor was broken, and only one set of outlets (just outside the bathroom, not next to the bed) actually worked. On the plus side, it was within walking distance of the Lincoln home and presidential library & museum (both of which had adequate parking). I do not recommend.
Totally acceptable
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Rapid City SDThe hotel was fine and my dog was accepted without comment. The "Pet Relief" area was tiny, though it was stocked with poop bags. I ended up walking him along a stretch of a windswept, undeveloped, 4-lane road. It felt a little sketchy for a female alone.
Great!
La Quinta by Wyndham Sioux FallsThe person at the desk was pleasant & welcoming. She had a little baggie with dog bones and an (empty) poop bag for my pup. Our room was on the 2nd floor, but it wasn't a big deal to go down for a puppy bathroom break. Best of all, though the hotel was close to the highway, it was also near a neighborhood and I was able to take a little neighborhood sidewalk walk. As for the hotel, it was fine--had what we needed--not super high end elegant, but fine. I would definitely return.
